Visual Identity & Branding
The branding for Live Music Waterford is rooted in the raw energy of the local scene. The logo design combines sleek, modern typography with a dynamic icon symbolizing the city’s heartbeat. I chose a Tomato Red accent on a deep charcoal background to create instant recognition and authority. This visual palette ensures that photography of artists and venues pops, making the platform feel like a digital extension of the concert hall itself.
UX Architecture & Information Design
The core challenge was presenting hundreds of weekly events without overwhelming the user. I designed an interface based on low cognitive load, focusing on high-speed filters for dates and genres. By utilizing a relational database, artists, venues, and events are interconnected. This allows fans to navigate from an artist profile to ticket sales for their next gig in a single click, resulting in a flawless user experience.
Custom CMS: The Artist Dashboard
To make the platform self-sustaining, I built a bespoke WordPress environment where musicians manage their own profiles. Instead of a generic dashboard, I stripped the interface down to the essentials: biography, media, and gig management. This user-friendly Custom CMS ensures that even non-technical artists can keep their information current, reducing administrative overhead while maintaining an accurate database.
